2007 International Training Course for Africa Countries on Computer Hardware/Software/Network Technology Guiyang, July 16 — August 15, 2007
“2007 International Training Course for Africa Countries on Computer Hardware/Software/Network Technology” is sponsored by the Government of the People’s Republic of China and undertaken by the Guizhou Academy of Sciences (GAS), entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce. Along with the development of the information society and knowledge economy, there is a huge digital divide between developed and developing countries.
Information technology provides a key to the increased empowerment of Africa, and all developing countries. It enables them to share their culture, knowledge, ideas, research and findings with the rest of the world thus increasing their global reputation and value, as well as accessing information from other countries.
It is a step toward closing the great divide between developed and developing countries in all areas including political, social, health, media and fair trade. Computer Hardware/Software/Network Technology occupies an increasingly important place in the field of information technology. The Guizhou Academy of Sciences (GAS) is located at the heart of the Guiyang city, the beautiful forest city, capital of the Southwest China's Guizhou Province.
